Goodwood, famous for both horse and motor racing, Arundel Castle and wildlife reserve, Parham House, polo at Cowdray Park, Singleton open-air museum and Bignor Roman Villa, with its superb mosaics, are just some of the attractions within easy reach. A little further are Portsmouth with its wealth of nautical history and Brighton’s many attractions (both 30 miles). Along with its traditional seaside fun, extensive watersports facilities and magnificently restored Royal Pavilion, Brighton also offers delightfully eclectic shopping in the historic Lanes and the splendid Marina boasts several factory outlets to explore.
